Set within regenerating forest and farmland, this hideaway immerses you in nature’s rhythm, where tūī call across the treetops and kererū flash between branches.

Each day begins and ends with a chorus - dawn birdsong in the morning, and the dusky chatter of native birds as the sun dips over the Kaipara Harbour in the distance. Whether you're here for stillness or soft adventure, this is a space designed for both.

The Journey

Your PurePod sits just 150 metres from the carpark, an easy, scenic stroll through farmland that borders protected bushland. This thriving bird corridor is home to tūī, ruru, kererū and more. Bring a small backpack and let the stillness of the gully settle you into the slower pace that awaits.

Secluded, Yet So Close

While the PurePod rests on a working farm, it’s perfectly positioned to feel far removed. Tucked into a private fold of the land, you’ll look out over uninterrupted bushland, farmland, and towards the vast Kaipara Harbour - New Zealand’s largest by coastline.

Inside, you’ll find everything you need to unwind in comfort: a beautifully made bed, a fabulous shower, flush toilet, a gas hob and BBQ, telescope, books, and space to simply be. Come evening, pour a glass of something local and let the forest lull you into a gentler rhythm.

Explore or Retreat

This region is rich in natural beauty and relaxed charm. Nearby, you’ll find trails through Muriwai Regional Park, the Gannet Colony, and local favourites like Kumeu River Winery, Phil Greig Strawberry Gardens, and The Hunting Lodge. For something more adventurous, try treetop ziplining, mountain biking in Woodhill Forest, or skydiving over the coast.
