Boathouse

Tucked just above the Main House at Bluestone Estate, the Boathouse is a private and character-filled retreat offering an elevated take on rustic luxury. Sleeping up to four guests, it can be enjoyed as a secluded getaway or as additional accommodation alongside the Main House for larger groups.

Originally a barn, the Boathouse has been thoughtfully transformed into a warm and stylish open-plan living space, complete with high ceilings, skylights, enormous barn doors and vintage industrial furnishings. A cosy loft bedroom sits above the main living area, while the adjoining Shepherd’s Hut provides a unique second bedroom with a vaulted kauri wood ceiling and premium bedding.

The north-facing deck is made for the mornings and long afternoons, with beautiful views across the water towards Mt Tamahunga. Inside, a pot-belly stove creates a cosy atmosphere during cooler months, while the outdoor firepit is perfect for evenings under the stars.

The Boathouse comes fully equipped with a kitchen, espresso machine, modern bathroom, laundry facilities and BBQ, with luxury bedding and premium bath products adding an extra layer of comfort.

Quirky, intimate and effortlessly relaxed, the Boathouse is an ideal escape for couples, friends or small groups looking for something a little different with all the beauty and tranquillity of Bluestone Estate on your doorstep.
