Find yourself in a tranquil oasis at The Four Seasons Nam Hai, Hoi An.
The Four Seasons Nam Hai is located halfway between Da Nang & the lantern lined village of Hoi An. Arriving down the long drive way into the hidden sanctuary of the resort you will be welcomed by the friendly staff within the resorts lush surroundings. Located on its own private one-kilometre stretch of Ha My Beach, voted by Forbes as one of the world’s most stunning beaches, you will be rewarded with a peaceful and tranquil hideaway.
An idyllic location you will find a resort perched right on the beach, lined with magnificent palm trees, immaculate gardens and an Instagram worthy infinity pool. This is an oasis in paradise. Do not rush your experience here! We arrived for a week-long stay in the middle of three week Vietnam adventure. The timing was perfect – a holiday within a holiday where staying put gives you time to truly unwind.

With a choice of rooms to stay, from one to five bedroom villas offering options of garden or beach locations, or even your own private pool – there is an option to cater for both couples or family groups. As a couple we selected the ocean view one bedroom and were pleasantly surprised with the space and the outlook to the garden with quick access to the beach. All rooms come with their own private garden area complete with an outdoor rain shower and daybeds. We might have considered a pool villa, but on viewing the images of the resorts main pool, we opted to have our pool time at the main pool area – One, for the atmosphere and two, for the waiter service for those all-important cocktails…it’s a holiday tradition!
I often select a hotel based on its gym facilities (O.K. most of the time I never use it – but the intention is there) and this hotel offered a fabulous Health Club with floodlit tennis courts and state of the art gym equipment. Each villa comes with their own bikes, so we could ride these to the health club each morning (no excuse not to go).

The breakfast buffet was truly spectacular, offering both western and Asian items, as well as an included a-la-carte selection. From a large range of fresh fruit, freshly baked bread and pastries to fragrant Vietnamese broths, the restaurant choices were endless.
The resort boasts two main restaurants – with one in the evening focused on fine dining, and the second offering Indian dishes. While most evenings we would head to town to discover the local establishments, our decision to dine at the resorts Indian restaurant was something we did not regret. From the moment you step inside, the ambiance of the dining room, the vision of the chefs cooking up a storm, smell of the tantalising aromas that were matched by the flavours of the dishes, was a winning combination. You can expect the resort prices to be more than local fair, however the convenience and quality of the food was worth every penny.
We all know that you can’t leave Vietnam without trying the street food and some people are more adventurous than others – so for those that are a little apprehensive to hit the street stalls, you will be delighted to know the resort does its own ‘Nam Hai Street Food Market’ evening. This dining extravaganza was beyond expectations and took the culinary experience to another level. Tasting dishes represented from Hanoi to Hue and Hoi An to Ho Chi Minh, the opportunity to try so many incredible flavours was one of the highlights of my stay!

With a location at the beach, transport is required to venture into the old town of Hoi An. The resort offers frequent complimentary transfers, (approximately 15 minutes away) or an option of a taxi was reasonably priced and easily accessible.
The resort offers many onsite activities and day excursions connecting you to the region. While Hoi An attracts many tourists to the region, being famed for being a UNESCO heritage site, it remains authentic and exudes a charm that is very endearing.
Returning from a day exploring the local sights, the best reward was booking into Nam Hai’s “The heart of the earth” Spa for one of their Signature rituals. Coming highly recommend the “Nam Hai Earth Song” is a 150 minute mesmerising experience involving crystal singing bowls, which emit a vibration to help align and connect you with the earth. Having been massaged, bathed and anointed in scent I left the experience with a relaxed and inner calm.
