Day 1:
Home to the famous Fiords of Milford and Doubtful Sounds you will soon see why Fiordland has achieved World Heritage status
Drive into Te Anau and make your way to the outstanding Fiordland Lodge, set in one of the most dramatic and beautiful locations in New Zealand, at the gateway to Fiordland National Park.
Arrive in time for your included afternoon tea and join your hosts for pre-dinner canapes in the stylish lounge with its natural timber and its incredible latticework of huge log trusses and large open fireplace, you will soon feel at home.
In the evening you can drive only 10 minutes away to the town of Lake Te Anau where you will find a selection of restaurants, however, it may be hard not to stay and experience the lodges very own restaurant with its exclusive view across the stunning lake and surrounding mountains. The dining concept that prevails through the Lodge is based on the farm-to-table ideology that complements the lodge impeccably. The head chef is dedicated to sourcing the freshest of ingredients, creating relationships with local suppliers and smaller producers and saturating the dishes he creates with local Fiordland and Southland ingredients.

Day 2:
Wake up to a spectacular sunrise over Lake Te Anau and a hearty buffet breakfast before venturing off on your chosen activity.
With a range of activities in the region on offer you are spoilt for choice. For the more active you may wish to hire bikes; or chose to hike to experience a part of one of the great walking trails of Routeburn or Milford Tracks, or even take a heli-hike into the Keppler. Perhaps take a cruise into the stunning Doubtful Sound or spend your day on a fishing amongst stunning scenery on the remote rivers in Fiordland.
No matter what you choose, returning to the lodge for a rewarding soak in the hot tub with its uninterrupted views across Lake Te Anau will be the perfect way to unwind after an unforgettable day.
This evening join your hosts for pre-dinner canapes. After a delicious meal last night it will be hard not to choose to dine again in the lodges very own restaurant.

Day 3:
Wake up to another spectacular sunrise over Lake Te Anau and a hearty buffet breakfast.
Choose a second activity or relax and soak up the views from your lodge before taking the short drive (1 -1 1/2 hours) into Milford Sound for the location of your second lodge.
Many visitors come to Milford Sound to enjoy its incredible scenery, however nothing can compare to the experience that awaits you by staying in this beautiful piece of paradise. Imagine waking up being surrounded by pure wilderness and spectacular mountains with only the sound of nature.
Depending on your preference of local activities, you may choose to arrive in time for an afternoon Milford Sound cruise before returning to the lodge.
Tonight make your way to the Pio Pio Restaurant, the lodges onsite dining room for a cosy dinner in an informal setting offering mouth-watering locally sourced produce.

Day 4:
Perhaps wake up early and watch the sunrise before making your way to your included buffet breakfast.
This morning you may decide to take a trip on a kayak and discover a different view of Milford Sound as you paddle the waters of this magnificent World Heritage Site.
Perhaps decide to take in a scenic flight and view from the air; hike across alpine tracks to stunning waterfalls, ice fields and mountain lakes; or take to the water and take a scuba dive trip unlike anywhere else on the planet to explore Piopiotahi (Milford Sound) Marine Reserve.
